Contract Manager
Location: Remote
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000
As Contract Manager you will oversee the company’s legal documents and contracts, assist with the company contracts throughout their creation, negotiation and signing and will store these documents to ensure they’re organised and accessible along with working with the team to ensure compliance with the contractual obligations.
This role involves risk assessment, contract performance evaluation, and collaboration withvarious departments to align contracts with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge, experience and skills required
Contract management / legal roles with a focus on commercial contracts.
Public Sector contract experience, eg Healthcare and NHS.
Strong understanding of contract law, regulations and best practices in contract management.
Strong understanding of legal terminology, risk assessment & contract management
Excellent communication skills.
Stakeholder management – Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure that all contract needs are met and understood.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Contract Performance management evaluation.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously.
Main duties and responsibilities
Collaborate with various departments including client services, procurement, and operations to align contracts with organisational interests.
Work with a range of commercial agreements, mainly framework contracts for NHS customers and Private hospitals, but also NDA’s, consultancy agreements, and reseller agreements.
Prepare, review, and negotiate contract terms and conditions for compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Identify inconsistencies and potential risks in contracts to mitigate risk.
Maintain and manage contract documents and records – ensuring they are up to date and accessible for stakeholders.
Identify risks associated with contracts and develop strategies to mitigate those risks, providing advice and recommendations.
Monitor compliance with contract terms, ensuring both parties reveal contractual obligations and resolve any discrepancies that may arise.
Contract performance evaluation
Management of the contract renewal and modification process, ensuring compliance with changes in policies and regulations.
Evaluate contract performance based on key performance indicators (KPIs/SLA’s) and offer insights and recommendations for enhancements, collaborating with the Client Services team.
Reporting – Generate regular reports on contract status, compliance matters, and performance metrics for other parts of the business.
